Designer Mads Ziegler takes the naturally uneven petals of the cranesbill and transforms them into a precise, botanical motif in sterling silver. One petal suggests a small heart and adds understated symbolism of closeness and thoughtfulness. The dense pavé of clear, faceted cubic zirconia is set so that the stones are close together, creating a unified field of light. Polished and slightly textured surfaces interact to distribute the light close to the earlobe and emphasise the shape of the ear. The result is a balanced piece of Danish design with a calm, sophisticated character.
